Class Description: Legato Cello Yoga℠

A moderately challenging Hatha yoga slow flow class, accessible for all levels of experience. Unwind, stretch, and strengthen with slow, calming, mindful breath-based movement with longer posture holds. Depending on what the afternoon calls for, we’ll occasionally meditate or pick up the pace with an invigorating flow for part of the class. We start with a gentle warm-up sequence to prepare the body for the more dynamic and strengthening yoga poses.

Special features of the class will always include a short yoga mantra chant and Annie’s original recordings of cello music. To close the practice, you are invited stay for a 15-minute Savasana accompanied by a live cello set, currently titled “Reflections.”

Props: a mat, blanket, bolster or pillow, blocks, and a strap.
